What is Elara Residences?

Elara Residences are two beautiful villas, designed with great attention to detail, offering the very best of modern coastal living just a short stroll from one of the finest beaches on the Costa del Sol. They are designed to make the most of natural light and space: the sun pours in throughout the day, creating a bright, uplifting atmosphere that adds to your wellbeing and everyday comfort.

The villas

The interiors are spacious and well balanced, a calm and inviting setting where relaxing, entertaining and time with family and friends flow naturally into one another. Large terraces with sea views overlook a peaceful landscaped garden and a private pool: the perfect place for a healthy Mediterranean lifestyle, from your first coffee in the sun to long dinners outdoors on warm summer evenings.

Each villa has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, a lift and access for people with reduced mobility, a basement, a gym, fitted wardrobes, hot and cold air conditioning and parking for several cars. The villas are set within a gated community.

Prices and payment in October 2026

As of 26 October 2026, the villas at Elara Residences are listed with us from €2,895,000 to €2,950,000. On a new build you pay 10% VAT and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD) on top of the price, plus notary, land registry and legal fees. On buying costs you can work out the total for your own situation.

You pay €10,000 on reservation, 30% on signing the purchase contract and the remaining 70% on completion. Construction starts in the second quarter of 2026, with completion planned for the fourth quarter of 2027. Assignment of the purchase contract before completion is permitted.

The location: Torrenueva

Torrenueva is an established residential area in Mijas Costa, about 25 minutes from Málaga airport and ten minutes from Marbella and Fuengirola. A short walk takes you to El Bombo beach, with its beach restaurants, the sound of the sea and the well-known coastal boardwalk, which you can stroll along to the charming village of La Cala de Mijas.

Living in Mijas

Mijas is one of the largest municipalities on the Costa del Sol and has three distinct sides. High in the hills sits Mijas Pueblo, a white Andalusian mountain village with narrow streets and views far out to sea. Along the coast stretches Mijas Costa, with La Cala, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and El Chaparral: long sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and plenty of restaurants. Inland lies Las Lagunas, a lively residential centre with shops, schools and sports facilities, right next to Fuengirola.

Mijas is also a true golfing municipality, home to La Cala Resort, Mijas Golf and Calanova Golf, among others. Málaga airport is around twenty to thirty minutes' drive away, Fuengirola and Marbella are close by, and the A-7 and AP-7 connect you quickly to the whole coast. That is why Mijas is so popular with families who live here all year round, with retirees and with second-home buyers.

How a viewing works

Beforehand, we send you the plans, the specification list and a breakdown of the purchase costs, so you arrive well prepared. On site, we show you not just the property but the neighbourhood too: the nearest schools and shops, the beach and the golf courses. That way, you get an immediate feel for what everyday life is like here.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline. We carry out these legal check together with an independent lawyer, and we guide you from the first viewing right through to the handover of the keys, in your own language.
