What is Chaparral Sunset Villas?

Chaparral Sunset Villas is an exclusive development of three luxury villas in sought-after El Chaparral, in Mijas Costa. The villas offer luxury living with modern amenities, in a perfect spot just a few steps from the Mediterranean. Each villa has a heated private pool and a beautifully landscaped garden where you can relax in the Spanish sun. The villas are nearly finished: the final details are being completed.

The villas

Inside, the living spaces are generous and flooded with natural light. Thanks to the south-west orientation, you can enjoy lovely views and the sunset from the terrace. The three spacious bedrooms are all on the same level, which is comfortable for you and your guests, and each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes. The fully equipped kitchen features high-end appliances and finishes.

The comfort is complete: hot and cold air conditioning, electric central heating, underfloor heating throughout the villa, an open fireplace, double glazing, fibre optic internet and satellite TV. Each villa also has a basement, a gym, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a games room, a solarium and a barbecue. The villas are secured with an alarm system, CCTV and electric gates, and you park in your own private garage.

Prices and payment in October 2026

As of 26 October 2026, the villas at Chaparral Sunset Villas are listed with us at €2,548,000. As this is a new build, you pay 10% VAT and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD) on top of the price, plus notary, land registry and legal fees. On buying costs you can work out the total for your own situation.

You pay €15,000 on reservation, 50% on signing the purchase contract and the remaining 50% on completion. The project has a building licence; the villa is around 90% complete and will be handed over within a few months. Mortgage financing is available.

The location: El Chaparral

El Chaparral lies on the Mijas Costa coastline, just a short walk from the charming village of La Cala de Mijas with its restaurants, shops, pharmacies and cafés. The El Chaparral golf course clubhouse is a ten-minute walk away, and schools are close by too. Marbella and Fuengirola are a short drive away, and Málaga airport is about half an hour away.

Living in Mijas

Mijas is one of the largest municipalities on the Costa del Sol and has three distinct sides. High in the hills sits Mijas Pueblo, a white Andalusian mountain village with narrow streets and views far out to sea. Along the coast stretches Mijas Costa, with La Cala, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and El Chaparral: long sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and plenty of restaurants. Inland lies Las Lagunas, a lively residential centre with shops, schools and sports facilities, right next to Fuengirola.

Mijas is also a true golfing municipality, home to La Cala Resort, Mijas Golf and Calanova Golf, among others. Málaga airport is around twenty to thirty minutes' drive away, Fuengirola and Marbella are close by, and the A-7 and AP-7 connect you quickly to the whole coast. That is why Mijas is so popular with families who live here all year round, with retirees and with second-home buyers.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline.
