Prestige collection: luxury property on the Costa del Sol

The coast's most exclusive addresses

Above €1.5 million, the Costa del Sol becomes a small, discreet market with a handful of addresses that count internationally. In Marbella these are the Golden Mile with Puente Romano and the Marbella Club Hotel, the gated hillsides of Sierra Blanca, Nagüeles and Cascada de Camoján, and beachfront villas in Guadalmina Baja and Los Monteros. Idealista recorded an average of €8,331 per m² on the Golden Mile in September 2026, the highest on the coast.

Benahavís is home to La Zagaleta (€8,159) and El Madroñal (€8,074), closed estates with maximum privacy, plus Los Flamingos and La Quinta. Estepona offers beachfront villas on the New Golden Mile and golf villas in El Paraíso. Further west, Sotogrande Alto, around Valderrama, and the Finca Cortesín estate in Casares are the quietest prestige addresses.

What creates value in this segment

In the prestige segment, location, privacy, views, south-facing orientation and architecture outweigh square metres. New architect-designed villas with wellness areas, home automation and staff quarters are in strong demand, but an established plot by the sea or in a top estate usually holds its value best. Many homes in this segment are sold discreetly, off the public portals.

Buying discreetly and carefully

A purchase in this segment calls for thorough groundwork: building and occupation licences, legality of every volume, a technical survey, annual costs of the estate, staff and maintenance, and tax planning with your adviser.
