What our GIPE membership and the European MMCEPI quality label mean for you.
Why this matters to you
Buying or selling a home in Spain is a big step. That's why we work to the standards of two professional bodies. So you know you're dealing with an agent who keeps up to date, works honestly and is insured.
Member of GIPE
Imagine Marbella is a member of GIPE (Gestores Inmobiliarios Profesionales Europeos), a Spanish professional association of real estate professionals with a European outlook. For you, this means:
- Insured: our professional liability is covered by GIPE's collective policy, included in the membership. On request we'll give you the insurer and policy details.
- Always up to date: we take ongoing GIPE training on new legislation, such as the Andalusian housing law, consumer protection and anti-money laundering rules.
- Legal support: GIPE has its own legal department. If there's any doubt about a contract or a new rule, we get expert advice quickly, so your file is handled correctly.
- Code of ethics: as members we follow GIPE's code of conduct: honest, transparent and in the client's interest.
European MMCEPI quality label
Through GIPE we hold the MMCEPI quality label, renewed for 2026. The label was developed by CEPI, the European Association of Real Estate Professions, and stands for high qualifications, professional standards and ethical practice. You'll find us in the public MMCEPI register.
What this means in practice
- Clear agreements in writing, before you sign anything.
- An honest overview of all buying costs up front. As a buyer you pay no agency commission.
- Guidance in Dutch, French, English and Spanish, from the first viewing to the notary.
- Proper client due diligence as required by anti-money laundering law, discreet and secure.
- A clear point of contact for questions or complaints.
