What is Coral Mijas?

Coral Mijas is an exclusive new development in Riviera del Sol, where you live in exceptional natural surroundings with every amenity close at hand. The apartments

The gated complex has 99 homes of the same size, spread across six blocks. There are three types: penthouses with a solarium of around 43 m², ground-floor apartments with a garden of up to 45 m², and first-floor apartments with a large terrace. Every home faces the outside of the building, and each comes with an underground parking space.

The apartments have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them en suite, a fully fitted kitchen open to the living area, hot and cold air conditioning, wooden floors and built-in wardrobes. There is a lift and an intercom. The communal areas have gardens and saltwater swimming pools for adults and children.

Prices and payment in October 2026

As of 26 October 2026, the Coral Mijas apartments are in our portfolio from €345,000 to €400,000. As this is a new build, you pay 10% VAT and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD) on top of the price, plus notary, land registry and legal fees. On buying costs you can work out the total for your own situation.

You pay €6,000 on reservation, 30% on signing the purchase contract and the remaining 70% on completion. The project has its building licence, construction began in the first quarter of 2026 and completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2028. Assignment of the purchase contract before completion is permitted.

The location: Riviera del Sol

Riviera del Sol is in Mijas Costa, between Calahonda and La Cala, just a short distance from the beach. It is an established residential area with shops, restaurants, golf courses such as Miraflores nearby and easy access to the A-7. Fuengirola and Marbella are fifteen to twenty minutes away, and Málaga airport around half an hour.

Living in Mijas

Mijas is one of the largest municipalities on the Costa del Sol and has three distinct sides. High in the hills sits Mijas Pueblo, a white Andalusian mountain village with narrow streets and views far out to sea. Along the coast stretches Mijas Costa, with La Cala, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and El Chaparral: long sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and plenty of restaurants. Inland lies Las Lagunas, a lively residential centre with shops, schools and sports facilities, right next to Fuengirola.

Mijas is also a true golfing municipality, home to La Cala Resort, Mijas Golf and Calanova Golf, among others. Málaga airport is around twenty to thirty minutes' drive away, Fuengirola and Marbella are close by, and the A-7 and AP-7 connect you quickly to the whole coast. That is why Mijas is so popular with families who live here all year round, with retirees and with second-home buyers.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline.
