What is Biznaga?

Biznaga is an innovative and sustainable collection of homes in Las Lagunas de Mijas. The project combines contemporary design, modern amenities and a strategic location on the Costa del Sol. It comprises 55 one and two-bedroom apartments, with a striking exterior design that gives the building a character all of its own. The spacious terraces are made for relaxing, and some homes have a terrace with a private pool: your own personal oasis.

The amenities

The communal areas are all about wellbeing and relaxation: a heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool with spa, a children's pool, a gym with LifeFitness equipment, a sauna and a yoga room. The communal areas are also finished with materials from well-known brands. The development is gated, and every home comes with an underground parking space and a storage room.

The apartments

The kitchens come fully fitted with appliances from the German brand Bosch, practical and built to last. The air conditioning is pre-installed, and furniture is available as an option. As of 26 October 2026, our listings include available two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments with 80 to 99 m² built and a terrace of 14 to 15 m². The orientation varies from one apartment to the next, with views of the mountains or the town.

Prices and payment in October 2026

As of 26 October 2026, the available apartments at Biznaga are listed with us at €370,000 to €395,000. With a new build, you pay 10% VAT and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD) on top of the price, plus notary, land registry and legal fees. On buying costs you can work out the total for your own situation.

You pay €6,000 when you reserve. For non-residents, this is followed by 20% on signing the purchase contract, 20% during construction and 60% on completion; for residents, it is 15%, 15% and 70%. Construction began in late 2024 with a building licence, and completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027.

The location: Las Lagunas de Mijas

Las Lagunas is a quiet, family-friendly residential area with nature parks, yet everything is close at hand: beaches, leisure and sport for every stage of life. Biznaga is less than five minutes from the motorway, so you can reach the whole coast easily. The Miramar shopping centre is within walking distance, as are primary and secondary schools, and the sports park by the Fuengirola river is also close by. The beach is about a quarter of an hour away.

Living in Mijas

Mijas is one of the largest municipalities on the Costa del Sol and has three distinct sides. High in the hills sits Mijas Pueblo, a white Andalusian mountain village with narrow streets and views far out to sea. Along the coast stretches Mijas Costa, with La Cala, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and El Chaparral: long sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and plenty of restaurants. Inland lies Las Lagunas, a lively residential centre with shops, schools and sports facilities, right next to Fuengirola.

Mijas is also a true golfing municipality, home to La Cala Resort, Mijas Golf and Calanova Golf, among others. Málaga airport is around twenty to thirty minutes' drive away, Fuengirola and Marbella are close by, and the A-7 and AP-7 connect you quickly to the whole coast. That is why Mijas is so popular with families who live here all year round, with retirees and with second-home buyers.

How a viewing works

Would you like to see Biznaga? We plan the viewing around your trip, even at short notice. Beforehand, we send you the plans, the specification list and a breakdown of the purchase costs, so you arrive well prepared. On site, we show you not only the property but also the surrounding area: the nearest schools and shops, the beach and the golf courses. That way, you get an immediate feel for everyday life here.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline.
