What is Buenavista Hills?

Buenavista Hills is an exclusive gated community of detached villas in the hills of Mijas, with panoramic views over the Mediterranean and surrounded by pine woods. El Higuerón beach is just a few minutes away, you have direct access to the A-7 and Málaga airport is close by. More than thirty villas in the community have already been sold.

The villas

The new villas are contemporary in style: clean lines, floor-to-ceiling windows, double-height spaces and quality materials, designed to blend into the landscape and make the most of the views. Every villa has five bedrooms, all with their own bathroom.

Nothing has been left out: a heated private pool, underfloor heating that extends to the bathrooms, air conditioning for both heating and cooling, a fully fitted kitchen, a basement with a games room, guest accommodation, a storeroom and a laundry room, a solarium, a barbecue, fibre optic broadband and parking for several cars. Two ways to buy

You can choose a villa on a plot where the project has already been approved and the building licence granted, so construction can begin as soon as you buy. Or you can buy a plot and develop a bespoke villa on it. Either way, you have a single point of contact for the whole process: the licence, site supervision and the handover of the keys.

Prices and payment in October 2026

As of 26 October 2026, the villas at Buenavista Hills are listed with us at €1,950,000 turnkey, with villas from €1,500,000 depending on the finish. On a new build you pay 10% VAT and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD) on top of the price, plus notary, land registry and legal fees. On buying costs you can work out the total for your own situation.

You pay €10,000 on reservation, 30% on signing the purchase contract and the remaining 70% on completion. The villa is handed over turnkey. Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2027, with completion in the second quarter of 2028.

The location: Buenavista

Buenavista is set in the hills of Mijas, above Fuengirola and El Higuerón. It is a quiet, green residential area with villas nestled among the trees, close to shops and schools. The beach, golf courses and the airport are just a short drive away, and the A-7 takes you quickly to Fuengirola, Benalmádena or Marbella.

Living in Mijas

Mijas is one of the largest municipalities on the Costa del Sol and has three distinct sides. High in the hills sits Mijas Pueblo, a white Andalusian mountain village with narrow streets and views far out to sea. Along the coast stretches Mijas Costa, with La Cala, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and El Chaparral: long sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and plenty of restaurants. Inland lies Las Lagunas, a lively residential centre with shops, schools and sports facilities, right next to Fuengirola.

Mijas is also a true golfing municipality, home to La Cala Resort, Mijas Golf and Calanova Golf, among others. Málaga airport is around twenty to thirty minutes' drive away, Fuengirola and Marbella are close by, and the A-7 and AP-7 connect you quickly to the whole coast. That is why Mijas is so popular with families who live here all year round, with retirees and with second-home buyers.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline.
