What is Calagolf?

Calagolf is an exclusive development of 16 semi-detached villas with a modern, minimalist design, built with quality materials in a privileged spot within the prestigious La Cala Golf Resort in Mijas. The homes are designed for comfort, space and light, for a calm and healthy life surrounded by nature.

The layout

On the ground floor you'll find the open-plan living and dining room with an open kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one of them en suite. The open-plan basement has a window to the outside and a full bathroom, ideal as guest accommodation, a home office or a playroom. Each home has a private garden, a solarium and two parking spaces. Payment is made in stages: 10% on signing the purchase contract, 20% on the building licence and the final deed of sale, 20% once the structure is complete, 10% thirty days later and the remaining 40% on handover of the keys. The project has its building licence and construction started in the first quarter of 2026.

The location: La Cala Golf

Calagolf is just 300 metres from the clubhouse at La Cala Golf Resort, voted Spain's best golf resort by IAGTO in 2024. The resort has three 18-hole courses designed by Cabell B. Robinson, a clubhouse with restaurant and terrace, a spa, wellness and fitness facilities, tennis courts, swimming pools and 24-hour security. Málaga airport and the high-speed train station are around thirty minutes away, and the motorway gets you quickly to Málaga, Marbella and the rest of the coast.

Living in Mijas

Mijas is one of the largest municipalities on the Costa del Sol and has three distinct sides. High in the hills sits Mijas Pueblo, a white Andalusian mountain village with narrow streets and views far out to sea. Along the coast stretches Mijas Costa, with La Cala, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and El Chaparral: long sandy beaches, a seafront promenade and plenty of restaurants. Inland lies Las Lagunas, a lively residential centre with shops, schools and sports facilities, right next to Fuengirola.

Mijas is also a true golfing municipality, home to La Cala Resort, Mijas Golf and Calanova Golf, among others. Málaga airport is around twenty to thirty minutes' drive away, Fuengirola and Marbella are close by, and the A-7 and AP-7 connect you quickly to the whole coast. That is why Mijas is so popular with families who live here all year round, with retirees and with second-home buyers.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline.
