What is Mimosas?

Mimosas is the sixth project in the Real de La Quinta resort and occupies one of the finest spots in the entire resort, with views of the mountains, Lake Istán and the coast. The exceptional designs make the most of this setting, offering comfort that has been thought through down to the last detail and finishes of the very highest standard. The project is the latest evolution of a concept that combines modern living with a deep respect for nature.

Phase II comprises 20 of the 35 homes, spread across four three-storey boutique buildings with two, three or four bedrooms, set around communal gardens and a swimming pool.

The homes

On the ground floor you'll find the exclusive Villa Garden apartments, set over two levels. Each has its own private pool and a generous private space you can turn into an office, gym, cinema, games room, sauna or whatever you like. On the first floor are spacious penthouses with a solarium and a rooftop pool. At the very top sit the exclusive super penthouses, with a large solarium, an outdoor shower, a separate bathroom and a pool, offering the ultimate in outdoor comfort and privacy.

Features include a fireplace, home automation, a lift, double glazing and air conditioning. In our listings, the homes have two to three bedrooms, three to four bathrooms and 127 to 192 m² built, with terraces of up to 100 m².

Prices and payment in October 2026

We currently have no homes at Mimosas in our listings, so do ask us for the latest price list and availability. When you buy a new build, you pay 10% VAT and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD) on top of the price, plus notary, land registry and legal fees. On buying costs you can work out the total for your own situation.

The payment schedule in the sales sheet is: €20,000 on reservation, 20% on signing the purchase contract, 30% during construction and 50% on completion.

Real de La Quinta

Real de La Quinta is a large, green residential resort in the hills of Benahavís, above La Quinta and Nueva Andalucía. The resort is being developed in phases, each with small boutique buildings and villas that follow the slope, so almost every home enjoys open views of the coast, the mountains and La Concepción lake. Walking trails, green spaces and a peaceful setting make it a place you'll love living in all year round.

La Quinta lies in the hills of Benahavís, just above Nueva Andalucía and Puerto Banús. The area is built around the La Quinta golf course, with villas and apartments on hillsides overlooking the valley and the coast, and on clear days as far as Gibraltar and North Africa. Life here is quiet and green, just a few minutes from Puerto Banús and the beaches.

The Los Naranjos, Las Brisas, Aloha and Los Arqueros golf courses are close by, as are international schools in Nueva Andalucía and San Pedro. Marbella town centre is about twenty minutes away, and Málaga airport about 45 minutes.

How a viewing works

Would you like to see Mimosas? We'll plan the viewing around your trip, even at short notice. Beforehand, we send you the floor plans, the specification list and a breakdown of the purchase costs, so you arrive well prepared. Once you're here, we show you not just the property but the neighbourhood too: the nearest schools and shops, the beach and the golf courses. That way, you get an immediate feel for everyday life here.

Buying off-plan: how it works

With a new build, you first sign a reservation agreement, then a purchase contract with a deposit, and you pay the balance on completion at the notary. Under Spanish law, deposits on new builds must be protected by a bank guarantee or an insurance policy. Always have this checked, along with the building licence and the timeline. We carry out these legal check together with an independent lawyer, and we guide you from the first viewing right through to the handover of the keys, in your own language.
