Who is it for?
Is Marbella Club Golf Resort right for you?
Ideal if you

- want a sea-view villa in a gated, secure resort
- would rather have a new apartment with a garden or terrace, in Marbella Club Hills
Less suitable if you
- want to live without a car: shops and the beach are down on the coast
- want to walk to the beach (look at San Pedro de Alcántara or Guadalmina)
- want more nature and space than golf (look at neighbouring Monte Mayor)
Living in Marbella Club Golf Resort
Marbella Club Golf Resort lies in the hills of Benahavís, on the road to the village, among oaks and pines. The resort is part of the world of the legendary Marbella Club Hotel on the Golden Mile, about twenty minutes' drive away. Around the course are villas on generous plots, often 4,000 m² or more, looking over the fairways, the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and the African coast.
The resort is gated, with access control and CCTV. Your neighbours are golfers and families from all over Europe who want peace without living far from Marbella and Puerto Banús. Next to the resort lies the villa estate Monte Mayor; idealista counts the two together as the Montemayor-Marbella Club zone.
Golf, horses and the clubhouse
The course opened in 1999 and was designed by golf architect Dave Thomas: 18 holes, par 72 and about 6,100 metres from the white tees. It is a true mountain course with elevated tees and views over the coast. Because a maximum of about 80 players per day are allowed on the course, you play here without waiting. The course is open to residents, guests of the Marbella Club Hotel and Puente Romano, and a limited number of visitors.
Besides golf, the resort has a clubhouse and an equestrian centre. Hiking and cycling in the Benahavís mountains start at your front door, and the well-known restaurants of Benahavís village are a few minutes away.
Prices and property types
In our October 2026 listings, villas in the resort cost roughly €3 million to €12 million, from modern villas of around 650 m² to Andalusian-style country houses. Plots with golf and sea views start at around €450,000 and rise to several million for the largest. Fotocasa recorded an average of €5,816 per m² for the Montemayor-Marbella Club zone in October 2026, compared with €5,602 for Benahavís as a whole in September (idealista).
If you are not looking for a villa, take a look at Marbella Club Hills: a new development next to the course with apartments, ground-floor duplexes and penthouses with 2 to 4 bedrooms, from €840,000 and due for completion in December 2027. Completed homes from earlier phases are also for sale.
What to check
A villa in the resort means you need a car: shops, schools and beaches are on the coast. When buying, ask about the resort's community fees and, if you want to play golf, about membership terms and the annual fee. For an off-plan villa, check the building permit, the bank guarantee on your deposits and the schedule; we carry out that legal checks together with your lawyer.
If you want to rent out, check whether the property has a licence for holiday rentals and what the community allows. Golfers love renting here in spring and autumn.
