Living in Los Álamos
Los Álamos is the easternmost district of Torremolinos, right by the Málaga border. Los Álamos beach is more than one and a half kilometres long and among the widest in the area, between Playamar and San Julián. It feels less urban than the centre: there is more space, the beach is rarely packed, and you live a few kilometres from the airport and close to the city of Málaga. That draws young buyers and people working in Málaga as well as second-home buyers.

Thanks to the steady wind the beach is popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers, alongside paddle surfing, kayaking and beach volleyball. Along the sand you find beach clubs with live music and DJs, which draw a younger crowd, and traditional chiringuitos grilling sardine espetos. Los Álamos station is right by the beach, on the C-1 to the airport and Málaga Centro. Nearby lies La Cizaña, with an archaeological site from Roman times.
Homes and prices
Supply is mainly apartments and penthouses, with a growing share of new builds.
