Torremolinos is mainly a town of apartments, but on the western side, towards Benalmádena, there is a surprisingly green villa area. Montemar is the best known: a quiet neighbourhood with villas on generous plots, lots of greenery and sea views, yet a short distance from La Carihuela. El Pinillo, a little higher, mixes villas and townhouses with modern developments and wide views over the bay.
You will also find townhouses and smaller homes in La Colina and on the slopes above the centre. Supply is limited, which keeps demand high: a house with a garden this close to the airport and Málaga is rare.

Villas in Montemar and El Pinillo usually sit above that average because of their scarcity and sea views. Many houses date from the 1970s and 1980s: lovely plots, but often in need of renovation.
