About Benjamin`s Dream
Benjamin's Dream is not a big resort but a compact group of 13 homes on the hill between Calahonda and Riviera del Sol, at around 76 metres above sea level. These are terraced and end-of-terrace houses on two floors, each with its own roof terrace. According to the project description, every home looks out over the sea from all floors. Our data currently shows two 3-bedroom homes, both priced at €1,112,000.
The layout is straightforward. On the ground floor there is an open living area with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, plus a laundry room and a guest toilet. Upstairs you will find 2 or 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of them en suite to the main bedroom. Above that is the solarium, which in some homes includes a studio: handy as a home office or guest room. The semi-detached home has 148 m² built and an 89 m² terrace, the terraced home 150 m² with an 85 m² terrace.
The homes are set in a gated complex with a communal pool and sun terraces. Most homes have 2 underground parking spaces, and some also a storage room. Miraflores Golf is around 1 km away. The development has not been built yet: completion is planned for November 2027 and there is no show home. So you buy off plan, based on drawings and a finishes list.

Location
Together, Riviera del Sol and Calahonda form one of the older, greener residential areas of Mijas Costa, squeezed between Fuengirola and Marbella. The area is residential and especially popular with Northern Europeans who live here all year or for part of it. The development sits on raised ground, which explains the sea views but also means you reach the coast by car. Around you are golf courses, smaller shopping centres and a row of beach restaurants along the coast road. Marbella and La Cala de Mijas are both a short drive away.
In everyday life you mainly notice that you still need the car. Carrefour is a 4-minute drive or a 23-minute walk away. Playa de Calahonda is a 6-minute drive; on foot it takes 28 minutes. You can reach Hospital Costa del Sol in 16 minutes, St Anthony's College in 19. Marbella's old town is 19 minutes away, Fuengirola 18 and Puerto Banús 23. Málaga Airport is 33 minutes away.
We will send you the exact location and the address of the sales office when you request Privé access or book a viewing.

Sun, light and views
Here the sun rises at 7:01 on 21 June and sets at 21:40, giving 14.7 hours of daylight. On 21 December you still have 9.7 hours, with the midday sun at 30° above the horizon. Benjamin`s Dream sits at around 76 metres above sea level.
According to the project description, every home has sea views from all floors, with a panorama over the coast from the solarium. The orientation of each home is not in our data; we check it by plot number on the site plan.
Homes and finishes
The homes come with air conditioning and heating via aerothermal energy, a heat pump that uses little electricity. Kitchens are fully fitted with Siemens appliances and the windows run from floor to ceiling, letting in plenty of light. Both homes in our data have a B energy rating. With an off-plan development we always request the full technical building specification, check that the finishes list is written word for word into the contract and verify that every advance payment is covered by a bank guarantee.
Payment schedule
As with most new builds on the Costa del Sol, you pay in instalments: a reservation deposit, a portion on signing the purchase contract and during construction, and the balance at the deed signing. Every payment before completion must be covered by a bank guarantee. We will send you the exact payment schedule for Benjamin`s Dream through Privé.

Our honest verdict on Benjamin`s Dream
Strengths
- Only 13 homes, so few neighbours and a quiet communal pool.
- Sea views from every floor according to the project description, thanks to the elevated position.
- Plenty of outdoor space: 85 to 89 m² of terrace, plus a private rooftop solarium.
- Completion in November 2027, sooner than many developments currently on sale.
- Miraflores Golf around 1 km away and Marbella a 19-minute drive.
Points to consider
- Price per m² is 50% above the Mijas new-build median and 101% above resale homes.
- The beach is a 28-minute walk, so in practice you drive to the sea.
- No show home: you buy based on plans and a finishes list.
- Small garden or none: the semi-detached home's plot is 12 m².
- Other sites show a lower price and a different size; always ask for the current price list.
Who is Benjamin`s Dream right for?
Benjamin's Dream suits buyers who put sea views and peace and quiet ahead of being close to the beach, and who would rather live in a small group of homes than in a large complex. The roof terrace with studio makes it appealing if you work partly from Spain. For families with children who want to walk to the beach or to school on their own, or if you are focused on price per m², Mijas has cheaper alternatives.

Off market: what you will not find online
Not every property on the Costa del Sol ends up on a website.
Owners who want to sell discreetly, a last penthouse that has not yet been released, a villa that only comes onto the market when the right buyer appears: part of the market changes hands without a single advert. Already know the market and looking for something you cannot find online? Tell us as precisely as possible what you are looking for. If it exists, we will find it for you.

Frequently asked questions about Benjamin`s Dream
Is Mijas a good place to live?
Mijas Costa is a quiet, residential stretch of coast with many international residents. From Benjamin's Dream you can drive to Fuengirola in 18 minutes and to Marbella's old town in 19, so city life is within reach without living right in the middle of it.
When will Benjamin's Dream be completed?
Completion is planned for November 2027. Until then you pay in instalments. We check that every payment is covered by a bank guarantee, as Spanish law requires for off-plan purchases.
How far is the beach from Benjamin's Dream?
Playa de Calahonda is 6 minutes by car or 28 minutes on foot. The homes sit higher up the hill, which gives you the sea views but also means you will rarely walk to the beach.
Do all homes have a rooftop studio?
No. Every home has its own solarium, but according to the project description only some of the roof terraces get a studio. We check by plot number which homes have that extra space.
Do I pay more if I buy Benjamin`s Dream through Imagine Marbella?
No. You pay the same price as buying directly from the seller. Through us you also get independent advice, legal guidance and aftercare.
What costs come on top of the price of a new-build home?
In Andalusia, a new build carries 10% VAT (IVA) and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD), plus notary, land registry and lawyer's fees. For the most affordable home in Benjamin`s Dream, that adds up to around 13.0%.
