About Zinnia
Picking up bread, taking the children to school and then heading to the beach: at Zinnia you do it all on foot. Carrefour Express and Laude school are a 5-minute walk away, San Pedro beach 22 minutes. That makes this small new development in San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella's western district, especially appealing if you really want to live here rather than just holiday.
Zinnia has 19 homes with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms in a building with a lift. On top is a communal solarium with pool, and downstairs a gym with sauna. Every home has its own underground parking space and storage room, and the whole building has energy rating A. Our data also lists a jacuzzi among the facilities. Completion is scheduled for July 2027, so for now you are still buying off-plan.
Our overview includes four homes. The entry-level model is a 2-bedroom apartment with 90 m² built and a 17 m² terrace, for €592,200. Two 3-bedroom apartments with 150 m² built cost €632,100 and €723,800; the cheaper one is listed as ground floor but on the first floor, which we are checking. At the top is a 3-bedroom penthouse with a 151 m² terrace for €1,252,550.

Sun, light and views
Here the sun rises at 7:02 on 21 June and sets at 21:41, giving 14.7 hours of daylight. On 21 December you still have 9.7 hours, with the midday sun at 30° above the horizon. Zinnia sits at around 23 metres above sea level.
Sea views are not confirmed for any home in our overview. According to the description, from the communal rooftop solarium you can see the Marbella coastline and La Concha; from the homes themselves, we check floor by floor.
Homes and finishes
The kitchen comes fully equipped, with an induction hob, multifunction oven, microwave, integrated fridge and dishwasher, and a concealed extractor hood. Air conditioning is ducted, and an aerothermal system provides hot water. The windows are double-glazed with good thermal and acoustic insulation, which matters in an urban neighbourhood. The front doors are reinforced. We check the sound insulation between floors, the maintenance and costs of the rooftop pool, and whether the floor areas match the plans.
Payment schedule
As with most new builds on the Costa del Sol, you pay in instalments: a reservation deposit, a portion on signing the purchase contract and during construction, and the balance at the deed signing. Every payment before completion must be covered by a bank guarantee. We will send you the exact payment schedule for Zinnia through Privé.

Who is Zinnia right for?
Zinnia is made for those who want to live in Marbella without needing the car for every errand: families with children at Laude school, winter residents and people working from Spain. The 3-bedroom apartment offers a lot of space for the price. If you want to live mainly outdoors on a large terrace, only the penthouse offers that; otherwise the communal roof is your outdoor space.

Why buy through Imagine Marbella?
With us you pay exactly the same price as buying direct from the developer. Our fee is paid by the seller, not by you. What you get on top is what makes the difference.
- Independent. We are not tied to any development. We compare the entire market and tell you honestly when a project is not right for you.
- Stronger at the negotiating table. Whenever there is room to negotiate, on price, payment schedule, finishes or a parking space, we know the market, the sales figures and the developers. We defend your interests; the seller defends theirs.
- Free extra services. We check licences, bank guarantees and specifications, provide legal support in your own language and plan viewings around your travel dates.
- Beyond the handover. We follow the construction, the handover and the after-sales with you, so you are never on your own.

Off market: what you will not find online
Not every property on the Costa del Sol ends up on a website.
Owners who want to sell discreetly, a last penthouse that has not yet been released, a villa that only comes onto the market when the right buyer appears: part of the market changes hands without a single advert. Frequently asked questions about Zinnia
How far is Zinnia from the beach?
San Pedro beach is about a 22-minute walk or 3 minutes by car. The project description mentions a 10-minute walk; we stick to the measured route.
When will Zinnia be completed?
Completion is scheduled for July 2027. Until then you make stage payments. We check that every payment is covered by a bank guarantee or insurance, as the law requires.
Is San Pedro de Alcántara a good place to live?
If you want to live there all year round, definitely. San Pedro has schools, a hospital nearby, shops and a beachfront promenade, and feels less touristy than Puerto Banús, which is a 5-minute drive away.
What does the cheapest apartment at Zinnia cost all in?
The €592,200 2-bedroom apartment costs around €669,326 with VAT, stamp duty, notary and lawyer's fees, about 13% extra.
Do I pay more if I buy Zinnia through Imagine Marbella?
No. You pay the same price as buying directly from the seller. Through us you also get independent advice, legal guidance and aftercare.
What costs come on top of the price of a new-build home?
In Andalusia, a new build carries 10% VAT (IVA) and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD), plus notary, land registry and lawyer's fees. For the most affordable home in Zinnia, that adds up to around 13.0%.
