Apartments in Casares: coast and golf

Casares is really two worlds. High in the mountains sits the white village of Casares, one of the prettiest in Andalusia. Below, between Estepona and Manilva, is a quiet coastal strip with seaside developments and golf communities. That is where most apartments are: in Casares Costa and Bahía de Casares, often with pools and gardens and the beach just across the road.

Golfers look at Doña Julia and Casares Golf, with apartments and penthouses overlooking the fairways and the sea. Around Finca Cortesín, with its renowned hotel and golf course, you will find the most exclusive homes in the municipality.

Life on the Casares coast is calm. It is ideal if you want peace, winter sun or a second home, less so if you want restaurants and shops on foot: for shopping you will often drive to Estepona or Sabinillas.

Prices and checks

Idealista recorded an average asking price of €3,197 per m² in Casares in August 2026, 3.7% lower than a year earlier (no September figure was available). On average €500,000 buys around 155 m² here: a spacious apartment or penthouse. There are new builds around the golf courses and along the coast, while resale apartments from the 2000s often offer the best price per m².

Check the community fees and the condition of the development, especially in older seafront complexes. Also ask how many owners live there all year: some developments are very quiet outside summer.

If you want to let, apartments near the beach or golf are the easiest to rent out in spring and autumn. A tourist licence is compulsory and the community must allow it.
