About Horizonte Village

Horizonte Village is not a single-type development. On the same hill you will find garden apartments, standard upper-floor apartments, duplex penthouses and detached villas with their own pool. According to the description, there are 23 villas and 41 apartments. As a result, prices in our data range from €590,000 to €2,000,000, and a couple looking for a holiday home is just as well served here as a family that wants to live here permanently.

Among the apartments, the ground-floor homes stand out. With 2 bedrooms you get 148 m² built, a 42 m² terrace and a 128 m² garden plot, for €590,000. With 3 bedrooms, that becomes a 52 m² terrace and a 200 m² plot for €650,000. For the same price there is also a first-floor home of 154 m² with a 22 m² terrace. At the top is a penthouse with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a 140 m² terrace and a solarium, for €1,549,000.

The villas are a different world. They have 5 or 6 bedrooms, a private pool, 2 parking spaces and plots of 574 to 604 m². In our data they cost €1,850,000, €1,890,000 and €2,000,000. Each villa has a basement level. Shared by everyone are an infinity pool, an indoor and outdoor gym, a clubhouse, coworking spaces, playgrounds and landscaped gardens, in a gated complex.

Location

La Capellanía lies in the hills above Benalmádena and Fuengirola, within the municipality of Mijas, near the El Higuerón residential area. The development sits high, at around 264 metres, with woodland and the Sierra de Mijas behind it. That explains the wide view over the coast. It is a quiet, residential setting with villas and new complexes, without a village centre of its own. So you live among the greenery and head down to the coast for the beach, restaurants and shops.

In practice, Carrefour is a 2-minute drive away and Playa de Torreblanca 7 minutes. Vithas Xanit International Hospital is 8 minutes away, Novaschool Benalmádena 9. Allow 10 minutes to Fuengirola town centre and 15 to Benalmádena marina. Málaga airport is 22 minutes away, Málaga city centre 25 and Marbella old town 27.

We will send you the exact location and the address of the sales office when you request Privé access or book a viewing.

Sun, light and views

Here the sun rises at 7:00 on 21 June and sets at 21:40, giving 14.7 hours of daylight. On 21 December you still have 9.7 hours, with the midday sun at 30° above the horizon. Horizonte Village sits at around 264 metres above sea level.

All seven homes in our data have sea views, with the Mijas mountains at the back. At an altitude of 264 metres the view is wide; for the ground-floor apartments, we check whether the garden wall or the neighbours restrict it.

Homes and finishes

The description promises Italian designer kitchens, underfloor heating and a home automation system. Another source also mentions air conditioning, double glazing, wooden floors, built-in wardrobes, an alarm and a guest WC. All homes in our data have an energy rating of B. Watch the difference between built and usable area, especially for the penthouse (356 versus 143 m²). We request the plans with the usable area per room, so you know what you really get indoors.

Payment schedule

As with most new builds on the Costa del Sol, you pay in instalments: a reservation deposit, a portion on signing the purchase contract and during construction, and the balance at the deed signing. Every payment before completion must be covered by a bank guarantee. We will send you the exact payment schedule for Horizonte Village through Privé.

Our honest verdict on Horizonte Village

Strengths

  • Wide choice: from garden apartment to 6-bedroom villa in one gated complex.
  • Median price per m² 13% below the average for new builds in Mijas.
  • Ground-floor apartments with garden plots of 128 and 200 m².
  • Villas with private pool and plots of around 600 m².
  • Supermarket 2 minutes and Málaga airport 22 minutes away by car.
  • Coworking space and clubhouse, handy if you work from Spain.

Points to consider

  • Completion not until December 2027, with stage payments over a long construction period.
  • On a hill at 264 metres above sea level: without a car you will not get anywhere.
  • The penthouse has 356 m² built but 143 m² usable; check your sums carefully.

  • Resale homes in Mijas are on average 17% cheaper per m².

Who is Horizonte Village right for?

Horizonte Village suits families looking for space, peace and views who use the car every day, and buyers who work from Spain and appreciate the coworking space. The villas are aimed at those who want a proper family home with a pool 22 minutes from the airport. It is less suited to anyone who wants to walk to the sea, a café terrace or the bakery, or who wants to move in soon.

Why buy through Imagine Marbella?

With us you pay exactly the same price as buying direct from the developer. Our fee is paid by the seller, not by you. What you get on top is what makes the difference.

  • Independent. We are not tied to any development. We compare the entire market and tell you honestly when a project is not right for you.
  • Stronger at the negotiating table. Whenever there is room to negotiate, on price, payment schedule, finishes or a parking space, we know the market, the sales figures and the developers. We defend your interests; the seller defends theirs.
  • Free extra services. We check licences, bank guarantees and specifications, provide legal support in your own language and plan viewings around your travel dates.
  • Beyond the handover. We follow the construction, the handover and the after-sales with you, so you are never on your own.
