About Valley Collection

More than 100,000 m² of green space: that is the scale on which Valley Collection was laid out, in a valley in the hills of El Higuerón. According to an industry source, the project has 225 homes in three phases. The apartments and penthouses were completed in 2025 and there is a show home. So if you do not want to wait years for a new build with sea views in this area, this is a key-ready alternative.

Our data lists two homes. The entry-level option is a first-floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 89 m², with a 25 m² terrace, for €695,000. Above that sits a 3-bedroom penthouse of 133 m² with a 54 m² terrace, for €1,690,000. Every home has an A energy rating, 2 underground parking spaces and a storage room. The developer also mentions ground-floor garden apartments, some with a private pool, and penthouses where you can have a jacuzzi installed.

The shared facilities are generous for a residential project: six pools and jacuzzis, three business and meeting centres, Mediterranean gardens and relaxation areas, and a concierge available around the clock. Owners get access to a beach club, sports club and spa within the urbanisation. The project is BREEAM certified. According to the same industry source, there was still limited availability at the end of 2025, mainly penthouses.

Valley Collection in figures

Two figures stand out. First, the price level: with a median of €10,258 per m² you are 78% above the new build median for Fuengirola (€5,779, 27 projects) and 130% above resale homes in Fuengirola (€4,452 per m², idealista, September 2026). Second, the gap between the two homes: the apartment costs €7,809 per m², the penthouse €12,707. So the penthouse is not just bigger; you pay well over 60% more per m² for the top floor. If you choose the €695,000 apartment, you pay €69,500 VAT, €8,340 stamp duty, €4,200 notary and €8,400 lawyer, around €785,440 in total. On the other hand, you can move in straight away.

Location

El Higuerón is the hilly area above Carvajal, where Fuengirola and Benalmádena meet. Valley Collection sits in a valley at around 142 metres above sea level, surrounded by greenery. It is a quiet spot, far from the bustle of the seafront promenade, yet with views of the sea. Within the urbanisation you will find a hotel, a sports club and restaurants. According to the developer, Fuengirola, Benalmádena and Mijas Pueblo are about 4 km away, and golf courses 10 to 20 km.

In daily life you mainly use the car. Carrefour is a 6-minute drive or a 25-minute walk. Playa de Torreblanca is 6 minutes away by car, or 28 minutes on foot. Vithas Xanit hospital is 13 minutes away, as is the Bil Bil pitch and putt. Fuengirola centre is 14 minutes away and Málaga airport 26.

We will send you the exact location and the address of the sales office when you request Privé access or book a viewing.

Sun, light and views

Here the sun rises at 7:00 on 21 June and sets at 21:40, giving 14.7 hours of daylight. On 21 December you still have 9.7 hours, with the midday sun at 30° above the horizon. Valley Collection sits at around 142 metres above sea level.

Both homes in our data have sea views. Because the project sits in a valley, the view varies a lot by building and by floor; we check that on site for each home.

Homes and finishes

The homes combine wood, ceramics and aluminium. They have fully fitted kitchens, air conditioning throughout, underfloor heating in the bathrooms and home automation. Heating and hot water run on aerothermal energy. As the homes are already finished, you can see everything for real. We check the occupancy licence, the builder's guarantees, the community fees of a complex with six pools and whether the floor areas in the land registry match the sales plans.

Payment schedule

As with most new builds on the Costa del Sol, you pay in instalments: a reservation deposit, a portion on signing the purchase contract and during construction, and the balance at the deed signing. Every payment before completion must be covered by a bank guarantee. We will send you the exact payment schedule for Valley Collection through Privé.

Our honest verdict on Valley Collection

Strengths

  • Key-ready with a show home, so no construction risk or waiting time.
  • Sea views from both homes in our data and an A energy rating.
  • More than 100,000 m² of green space around the project.
  • Six pools, meeting centres and a concierge available day and night.
  • Two-bedroom apartment for €695,000, key-ready and with sea views.

Points to consider

  • At €10,258 per m² you pay more than double the price of resale homes in Fuengirola.
  • The penthouse costs well over 60% more per m² than the apartment.
  • A large project of 225 homes, so little privacy around the shared facilities.
  • Beach and supermarket more than 25 minutes' walk away; count on the car.
  • Extensive facilities can push up community fees; ask for the budget.

Who is Valley Collection right for?

Valley Collection suits buyers who want to enjoy a new apartment with sea views, lots of greenery and hotel-style facilities straight away, without the risk of buying off plan. The 2-bedroom apartment is a logical choice for winter residents and couples. It is less suitable for those looking for a low price per m², wanting to live without a car or preferring a small, intimate complex.

Why buy through Imagine Marbella?

With us you pay exactly the same price as buying direct from the developer. Our fee is paid by the seller, not by you. What you get on top is what makes the difference.

  • Independent. We are not tied to any development. We compare the entire market and tell you honestly when a project is not right for you.
  • Stronger at the negotiating table. Whenever there is room to negotiate, on price, payment schedule, finishes or a parking space, we know the market, the sales figures and the developers. We defend your interests; the seller defends theirs.
  • Free extra services. We check licences, bank guarantees and specifications, provide legal support in your own language and plan viewings around your travel dates.
  • Beyond the handover. We follow the construction, the handover and the after-sales with you, so you are never on your own.

Off market: what you will not find online

Not every property on the Costa del Sol ends up on a website.

Owners who want to sell discreetly, a last penthouse that has not yet been released, a villa that only comes onto the market when the right buyer appears: part of the market changes hands without a single advert. Already know the market and looking for something you cannot find online? Tell us as precisely as possible what you are looking for. If it exists, we will find it for you.

Frequently asked questions about Valley Collection

Has Valley Collection already been completed?

Yes. According to our data, the homes were completed between April and August 2025 and there is a show home. So you can choose on site.

Are there new builds for sale on the Costa del Sol that are already finished?

Yes, Valley Collection is one example. Most new builds in Fuengirola will only be completed in 14 months on average. Here you can move in or let straight away.

How much does an apartment at Valley Collection cost with all expenses?

For the €695,000 apartment you pay around €785,440 with VAT, stamp duty, notary and lawyer. So allow 13% on top of the price, plus community fees.

How far is the beach from Valley Collection?

Playa de Torreblanca is a 6-minute drive or a 28-minute walk. The developer quotes 1.5 km. The way back is uphill, so in practice count on the car.

Do I pay more if I buy Valley Collection through Imagine Marbella?

No. You pay the same price as buying directly from the seller. Through us you also get independent advice, legal guidance and aftercare.

What costs come on top of the price of a new-build home?

In Andalusia, a new build carries 10% VAT (IVA) and 1.2% stamp duty (AJD), plus notary, land registry and lawyer's fees. For the most affordable home in Valley Collection, that adds up to around 13.0%.
