About Vangard

Vangard is a larger development, and you should know that before reading on. It has 153 apartments in two eight-storey buildings, right by Gran Parque de la Loma in Fuengirola. On the other hand, you live in an ordinary town neighbourhood, with a supermarket round the corner and the centre within walking distance. There are apartments with 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms, ground-floor homes and penthouses. In our data, prices start at €554,400.

The design uses rounded shapes and terraces that extend the living room outdoors. A clever touch is the sliding panel between living room and bedroom: open for a large living space, closed for privacy. The ground-floor apartments get their own garden, the middle floors spacious terraces. The kitchens are open plan and fully equipped. The 3-bedroom ground-floor apartment stands out: 168 m² with 184 m² of outdoor space for €650,750.

What really sets the development apart are the communal facilities. There is a large outdoor pool, a spa with wellness area, an indoor and outdoor gym, coworking spaces, a social club, meeting rooms, phone booths and bike storage. There is underground parking, every home has a storage room and charging points for electric cars are pre-installed. Completion is planned for December 2028.

Sun, light and views

Here the sun rises at 7:00 on 21 June and sets at 21:40, giving 14.7 hours of daylight. On 21 December you still have 9.7 hours, with the midday sun at 30° above the horizon. Vangard sits at around 39 metres above sea level.

Our data does not confirm sea views for the available homes. According to the project description, the penthouses on the eighth floor have panoramic views; we check the orientation of each home and what you really see from the terrace.

Homes and finishes

The apartments come with fully installed air conditioning and aerothermal energy for both climate control and hot water. Large windows are complemented by sun protection. The development has an A energy rating and BREEAM certification, an international label for sustainable building. Kitchens come fully fitted with appliances. With a development of this size we always request the breakdown of community fees, as all those facilities also need maintaining. We also check the bank guarantee on every payment.

Payment schedule

As with most new builds on the Costa del Sol, you pay in instalments: a reservation deposit, a portion on signing the purchase contract and during construction, and the balance at the deed signing. Every payment before completion must be covered by a bank guarantee. We will send you the exact payment schedule for Vangard through Privé.

Our honest verdict on Vangard

Strengths

  • Price per m² 23% below the Fuengirola new-build median.
  • Supermarket a 6-minute walk away and the park right round the corner.
  • Extensive facilities: spa, gym, coworking, social club and phone booths.
  • 3-bedroom ground-floor apartment with 184 m² of outdoor space for €650,750.
  • Sliding panel between living room and bedroom gives a flexible layout.
  • A energy rating and BREEAM certification.

Points to consider

  • With 153 apartments this is a large complex, not for those after a small-scale setting.
  • Completion not until December 2028, 26 months against a median of 14.
  • No confirmed sea views for the available homes.
  • Penthouses are expensive per m² and have surprisingly small terraces of 34 to 41 m².
  • Lots of facilities mean higher monthly community fees.

Who is Vangard right for?

Vangard suits buyers who want to live in Fuengirola like a local: on foot to the shops, the park and eventually the centre. If you work from Spain, the coworking and phone booths are a real plus. It is a good choice for spending the winter or for letting. Less suitable if you are after sea views, a small community or a quick completion.

Why buy through Imagine Marbella?

With us you pay exactly the same price as buying direct from the developer. Our fee is paid by the seller, not by you. What you get on top is what makes the difference.

  • Independent. We are not tied to any development. We compare the entire market and tell you honestly when a project is not right for you.
  • Stronger at the negotiating table. Whenever there is room to negotiate, on price, payment schedule, finishes or a parking space, we know the market, the sales figures and the developers. We defend your interests; the seller defends theirs.
  • Free extra services. We check licences, bank guarantees and specifications, provide legal support in your own language and plan viewings around your travel dates.
  • Beyond the handover. We follow the construction, the handover and the after-sales with you, so you are never on your own.
