Where to look?
Choose your town
One coast, twelve municipalities
The Costa del Sol stretches from Málaga to Sotogrande, and each municipality has its own character. Málaga is a real city with culture, universities and a high-speed train. Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola are lively seaside towns close to the airport, with the train on the doorstep. Mijas combines a white mountain village with golf and beaches. Marbella is the flagship, with luxury, international schools and life all year, while Benahavís and Ojén offer peace and nature in the hills above.
Further west, Estepona is the fastest-growing municipality, with an authentic old town and plenty of new build. Casares and Manilva are quiet and affordable, and Sotogrande is a green private estate with polo, a marina and world-class golf. Málaga airport, with nearly 27 million passengers in 2025, connects the whole coast with the rest of Europe.

How to go about it
Start with how you want to live, not with the property: all year or as a second home, with children, golf or beach as a priority, with or without a car. Then we choose the municipality and type of home together. New builds carry 10% VAT plus 1.2% AJD, resale homes 7% transfer tax. We have been active on the coast since 2018, are members of GIPE with the European MMCEPI quality label, and guide you in English, Dutch, French or Spanish.
