- have children: Aloha College is a few minutes' drive away
- want Puerto Banús and the beach nearby but silence in the evening

Living in Las Brisas
Las Brisas is the residential area around Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, in the heart of the Nueva Andalucía golf valley. It was the first course José Banús built here, in 1968, then called Club de Golf Nueva Andalucía. Around it grew a quiet neighbourhood of villas on generous plots and several apartment complexes overlooking the fairways and the mountains beyond.
Residents are international and often affluent: golfers, entrepreneurs who spend part of the year here and families looking for space and calm close to Puerto Banús. Older villas from the early years are gradually being renovated or replaced with modern architecture, so the streets mix classic Andalusian and contemporary styles.
A course with history
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and hosted the World Cup in 1973, won by Jack Nicklaus and Johnny Miller, and again in 1989. It was thoroughly renovated in 2015 under architect Kyle Phillips, and in 2023 Aditi Ashok won the Women's Spanish Open here. Water comes into play on at least twelve holes. Las Brisas is a private members' club.
Living in Las Brisas also gives you an exceptional choice of courses nearby. Los Naranjos, designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1977, and Javier Arana's Aloha Golf are a few minutes away. A little higher up, in Benahavís, La Quinta has 27 holes. You can play four very different courses in a week without ever driving more than ten minutes. For many buyers, that is the deciding reason to look here.
Daily life and things to check
Los Naranjos and Aloha are a few minutes away, as are Centro Plaza with its restaurants and shops and the Saturday market at Marbella Arena. Aloha College is quick to reach. Puerto Banús and the beaches are about five minutes by car. You will need a car here: the streets are hilly and there are no real shopping streets.
With a golfside home, check its exact position relative to tees and greens: the view is wonderful, but a villa right beside a tee box can mean less privacy. With older villas, a technical survey is no luxury. And in complexes, always ask about community fees and planned works.
